Suzi---Front Office

A funny thing happened to me during law school.  A friend of my parents (who just happened to be a dentist) told them that he had lost his assistant and did they think I would be interested in helping him part-time until he retired --he was only 89 years old. My parents immediately said "YES" and my mission was to persuade him to retire as soon as possible.  The joke was on me (and them)---as much as I love politics and the "underdog", dentistry became my first love.

I learned dentistry from an "old-fashioned" dentist who believed that only he could do the best job.  Thus I not only learned dental assisting but also how to make dentures and crowns --lab techniques, doing the front office work and cleaning the office --which I'm glad to say I quickly eliminated from my duties.  It was a unique learning environment.  My part-time job quickly became a juggling act between law school, his office and archaeological digs.  My progression in dentistry had been richly rewarding---from assisting and lab work to office manager, to teaching dental assisting, to dental and medical consulting, to practice administrator.  I have been very fortunate that I can utilize my education and experiences in a profession I absolutely love.

I have had the privilege to work with some of the best dental clinicians in the country.  My good fortune was with me when I joined Dr Alberts' office.  Our beliefs melded perfectly---strong beliefs in continuing education (on all subjects not just dentistry), a strong commitment to faith-based values, a moral conviction that everyone matters and the integrity to admit not only our contributions but also our shortcomings.  Dr Alberts surrounds himself with people that compliment his style and ability.  He creates an environment that allows his office staff to reach for the stars.  I am very fortunate indeed.

Dale---Certified Dental Assistant

I am entering my 39th year in dentistry, 36 of which I have been a Certified Dental Assistant.  I am also  Board Certified in Dental Radiology, as well as have certifications in Coronal Polishing and Sealants.  I am as enthusiastic and passionate about dentistry today as when I first started at 16 as a dental technician.  I am also on staff at Central Du Page Hospital as a pediatric surgical dental assistant.  I have over 9 years experience as a pediatric speciality assistant.  I have been with this wonderful office for 7 years and hope to finish out my career with Dr Alberts.  He is one of the finest dentists I have ever known and his dedication to his patients and to providing the highest quality dentistry is one of the many qualities I admire in him.

My other passion in life is animal rescue of which I have been doing for over 18 years.  My main breed of rescue is basset hound.  One of the hardest, but most rewarding things I have ever done is Hurricane Katrina Rescue.  I spent 10 days in Mississippi after the hurricane volunteering at the local pound.  I am proud to say that my local rescue group was able to relocate over 1100 dogs, cats and various farm animals out of the hurricane ravaged areas up north to non-kill rescue groups and into their "fur" ever homes.  I have a black lab Georgie, as well as 2 basset hounds Casey and Sydney, a coon hound Andy from Mississippi, 2 blood hounds Tyson and Josie and last but not least, a harrier named Barney. Oh, by the way, did I mention I have a wonderful husband and 3 terrific kids and 2 great son-in-laws.

My dream when I retire is to move to Disney World and clean the animal's teeth at the animal Kingdom, thus combining my love of dentistry with my love of animals.

Hope to see you soon.

Inna---Registered Dental Hygienist

Hi, I'm Inna and a dental hygienist at Dr Alberts' office.  I've been working in the dental field for many years, and have a dental assistant background.

I graduated from Dental Hygiene program at Harper College in 2001, and have been working with Dr Alberts since then.

I share Dr Alberts philosophy of providing the exceptional care and service to our patients.  I would like for patients to be educated, cared for, and relaxed when they come for dental visits.  I take pride in my knowledge and experience, and always try to grow, improve and educate myself in the new developments in dentistry.  I'm very happy to be a part of this talented and caring team.

I was born and raised in Belarus and I've been living in the United States since 1991.  I am married and have 2 children and the cutest dog.  My family is great and I enjoy spending my free time with them and my friends.

Modesta---Registered Dental Hygienist

Straight from high school on a plane to Chicago, I relocated from Kenya.  Scary as it seemed, I was determined to pursue "the American Dream".  I later pursued my dream of being part of the airline industry that I knew was the ultimate job--"So I thought".

I graduated with a travel and tourism degree and got the chance of a lifetime working with a prestigious international carrier--Swissair.  I thought it would be everything I imagined it to be---I hated it!

A year later my life took a different course.  A friend introduced me to dental assisting.  Without experience or ever having been at a dental office.  Turns out it's what I was born to do.  I dental assisted for 3 years then discovered the profession dental hygiene along the way.  I decided to enroll, graduated 4 years later from Harper School of Dental Hygiene with an applied science degree.

It has been a dream come true for the last 9 years to be able to passionately care and promote dental health.

I enjoy traveling around the world--making friendships of different backgrounds.  My son, Kellan Joe, is the new love of my life. I love spending time with friends and family.

Fran-Registered Dental Hygienist

Thank you to Dr Alberts, his helpful, professional staff and friendly patients for welcoming me to this practice.  I have lived in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago my whole life.  After attending high school in Northfield, where my mother was a teacher for 10 years, I then attended Loyola University and graduated in 1984.

Since then I have had the wonderful opportunity to care for many wonderful patients in both periodontal specialty and family practices.  I enjoy meeting new people and look forward to meeting many of you and helping with your dental needs or concerns.
